Maïté Michaud joins Cermav as a Lecturer from Université Grenoble Alpes

Maïté Michaud completed a PhD in Process Engineering from the University of Lyon 1 in December 2019. Her research, conducted at LAGEPP, focused on the study and modeling (COMSOL) of membrane crystallization on diffusion/reaction systems. Following this, she completed two post-doctorates at CP2M in Lyon from 2020 to 2022: (i) the first in industrial partnership with Adisseo, on the modeling (Matlab) and improvement of the methionine synthesis process; (ii) the second on the study of the gas-liquid transfer efficiency of a breakthrough process, namely “the dynamic elastic foam bed reactor”. Finally, from 2022 to 2024, she completed a post-doctorate at CEA-LITEN in Grenoble on the study, modeling (COMSOL), and optimization of the performance of structured milli-reactors with enzymes immobilized in the walls.

Since October 1st, 2024, Maïté MICHAUD has joined CERMAV permanently as a Lecturer at the Université Grenoble Alpes, through a competitive examination.
Her research activity, based on the expertise of the Structure and Properties of Glycomaterials team, will focus on the intensification of reactive, multiphase processes for the development and application of biosourced materials. In particular, she will be interested in the chemical modification of nanocellulose aerogels, in the vapor phase, for applications in CO2 capture by adsorption.

Congratulations to her; we wish her a long and successful career!
