The Cosmetic Victories Academic Prize was awarded to Sami Halila for his Carbogels project: a new class of organogelator with adjustable rheological properties for cosmetics and dermopharmacy.
2021
Anselme Payen Award
The Anselme Payen Award winner is Yoshiharu Nishiyama who studies many aspects of cellulosics, mainly in the solid state. His main lines of research can be defined as the following: the use of scattering (X-rays, electrons and neutrons) and spectroscopy (NMR, infrared) methods to get insights on the structure of cellulosics and other crystalline polysaccharides (amylose, chitin, chitosan, etc.), the study of the properties of cellulose suspensions, and the modeling of the physical properties of cellulose.

Two young Doctors from Cermav are winners of the National I-PhD Innovation Competition and distinguished by Minister Frédérique Vidal: Emeline Richard-Millot (Grand Prize) and Julien Leguy.
The Franco-Hispanic International Prize “Miguel Catalán – Paul Sabatier” was awarded to Anne Imberty for her contribution in structural glycobiochemistry and the advancement of our understanding of the interaction between proteins and carbohydrates with application in the design of anti-infectious compounds.
The prestigious International Prize of the Polymer Sciences Society of Japan has been awarded to Redouane Borsali for his major contribution on self-assembly of carbohydrate-based block copolymer systems: nanoparticles, thin films, smart Surfaces and devices.
2018
The Franco-Taiwanese prize, awarded by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Taiwan (MOST) and the Academy of Sciences, rewards and encourages a Franco-Taiwanese scientific duo for their scientific contribution in a field of interest to both countries. It is awarded jointly to Redouane Borsali, research director at CNRS and Wen-Chang Chen, Distinguished Professor at National Taiwan University for their research on transistor memory devices, thanks to the design of nanostructured films based on biobased co-polymers.

Prix “Stars of Europe”
The “Stars of Europe” Prize for Research and Innovation is awarded by the Ministry of National Education and Research to Redouane Borsali for the coordination of the European project “Greenanofilms” having revolutionary contributions in the design and development of a new class of carbohydrate-based block copolymers and their self-assembly into thin films at a scale of less than 10 nm for microelectronic applications as well as new glyconanoparticles (with mosaic shapes and sizes) for various applications (cosmetics, biomedical, etc.).

Prix Marcus Wallenberg 2015
Le prix Marcus Wallenberg 2015 a été attribué à Yoshiharu NISHIYAMA, Akira ISOGAI & Tsuguyuki SAITO, pour la conception révolutionnaire d’un processus de production écoénergétique de cellulose nanofibrillée.
2013
La médaille d’argent de l’Institut de Chimie du CNRS a été attribuée au Dr Anne Imberty pour son importante contribution dans le domaine de la glycobiologie moléculaire.
Le Prix Fondation BNP Paribas de l’Innovation Scientifique 2013 a été attribué au Professeur Rachel Auzély pour la conduite de ses recherches sur la régénération des tissus cérébraux à l’aide d’hydrogels et de cellules souches neurales.

Le Dr Yoshiharu Nishiyama a reçu le Hayashi Jisuke award 2012 de la Cellulose Society du Japon pour ses travaux sur l’élucidation des structures cristallines des allomorphes de la cellulose native.
2011
Le Dr Anne Imberty, Directeur de Recherche est la lauréate du prix Charles Dhéré 2011 de l’Académie des Sciences, pour ses travaux sur l’analyse des interactions sucres-protéines en biologie, ouvrant la voie à des applications dans le domaine biomédical.

Le Dr Sébastien Fort, Chargé de Recherche a reçu le prix du Groupe Français des Glucides des Sociétés Françaises de Chimie et Biochimie
Lors de la 58e Rencontre de la Japan Wood Research Society, qui s’est tenue du 17 au 19 mars 2008, à Tsukuba au Japon, le Dr Yoshiharu Nishiyama, Chargé de Recherche au Cermav, s’est vu remettre le Japan Wood Research Society Prize 2007 pour ses travaux sur la détermination du système de ponts hydrogène dans la cellulose native par des méthodes de diffraction.

L’Alceru prize, catégorie « Lifework » a été décerné au Dr Henri Chanzy, ancien Directeur de Recherche du Cermav.
